Newcastle-under-Lyme School is an independent school in the town of Newcastle-under-Lyme in Staffordshire, England. It is the product of an amalgamation between the old Newcastle High School (formed 1874)〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=About the school )〕 and the Orme Girls' School (formed 1876).〔 Today, the school consists of a nursery, a preparatory department, the senior school and the sixth form. It takes both boys and girls from 3-18 and provides them with a high level of education. The sixth form is known for its performance at A-level. It is a member of the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference (HMC), an association of the head teachers of the leading day and boarding independent schools in the United Kingdom.
